Who doesn’t love a good cup of coffee, especially in the morning as you head out? It is one of the most used kitchen appliances, but can also be one of the dirtiest, mold and yeast growing appliances. This is due to the fact that it sits with water and over time the wet machine can start growing mold and the parts can develop calcification.
It is a good idea to take apart the coffee machine parts and rinse them with soap and water after each use, but also every month it will be beneficial to descale your coffee machine. This way, it will inhibit the growth of mold and the coffee machine will run efficiently if there aren’t calcified parts.
Steps:
Most standard coffee machines can be descaled using this method, but be sure to check the owner’s manual of your coffee machine for specific cleaning instructions. Some single cup espresso and coffee machines have their own specific descaling kits to use.
